Migratory Birds ft. ABC

A series of six posters dedicated to spreading awareness about the migratory bird crisis: every year, millions of migrating birds die to various causes, from glass collisions to pesticides. We as people can make small but effective interventions to reduce the threats that migratory birds face. They also direct viewers to the American Bird Conservancy’s website.

In the creation of these posters, I wanted to incorporate simple vector illustrations alongside duotoned photographs, combining colours from the American Bird Conservancy’s logo with a bright pop of yellow; this was all done to create a friendlier atmosphere, rather than a dreary one.

I wanted to encourage people to look into this issue and be mindful of the impacts of small actions. Helping can be as simple as using window decals and keeping your cats indoors. The survival of birds helps balance our ecosystem!
