Posters for a Cause, ft. #metoo

A poster created in honour of the “Posters for a Cause” initiative and the #metoo movement. It's accompanied by a brochure detailing statistics about sexual violence, particularly the kind committed against women.

Sexual harassment and assault is a serious topic that I have talked about with friends, many of whom have experienced various forms of sexual harassment. Because of this, I wanted to express a message of solidarity with women opposing sexual violence. However, I wanted to present this in a far less violently graphic way.

I thought it was important to emphasize the concept of consent, thus employing the slogan: NO means NO. To elevate the narrative, I used figures resembling a princess and a knight to convey a sense of protection—women need to look out for and protect each other from sexual harassment and assault.
